I’m delighted to have you all here for this essential 2-hour Zoom meeting. Today, we dive into the first three units of our comprehensive Volunteer Skills Programme.

We will begin with Unit 1, focusing on the indispensable employability skills for our Netball World Cup volunteers. Here, we’ll explore the importance of honing your communication skills, adapting to the digital era through computer literacy, and managing time effectively. Each of these aspects will be discussed thoroughly with real-world examples to provide context and enhance your understanding.

Unit 2 will explore the importance of teamwork within the volunteering environment, emphasizing sharing ideas, respectful communication, and cooperation. Through this unit, we aim to prepare you to thrive in a team setting and build strong, positive relationships with your fellow volunteers.

Finally, in Unit 3, we will discuss the significance of maintaining a professional image and attitude throughout your volunteering experience. This session will highlight personal grooming, appropriate dress, dependability, and the importance of contributing positively to the overall professional image of our organisation.
